Sometimes the law of attraction can seem very confusing. Everyone has a slightly different idea about how it works, and because of the nature of the time buffer, you often don’t know if your desire is any closer to manifesting or not.
Well, actually, that’s not entirely true. You can know, on a moment-to-moment basis, and definitely on a day-to-day basis, whether you are any closer to or further away from your desire.
When you think about it, there are only two directions you could be headed in: towards your desire, or away from it. And you are never standing still — you are never stuck, even if it may seem so sometimes — so you are always headed in one of these two directions.
If only the Universe had some easy way for you to tell where you were headed. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Of course, it does.
Ask yourself, in this moment, are you feeling better or worse about your desire than you were before?
“Before” could be a moment ago, or yesterday, or even last week.
The only question is whether you are feeling better or worse.
If better, you are moving towards your desire.
If worse, then you are moving away from it.
I’m certain you’ve heard this simple advice before. But how often do you pay attention to it?
This simple question can help you to make massive progress in a short period of time.
When you think about your desire, you can just ask yourself, “Are these thoughts making me feel better or worse about my desire?” If better, continue on. If worse, however, it’s your responsibility to stop dwelling on them.
But I find that this applies not only for a specific desire, but for all of life in general.
I have realized that when I am starting to dwell on worrying thoughts, I am headed away from all the things I want in life.
But when I find a way to feel a bit better in the moment, then I am headed towards those same desires — and towards a better life overall.
Yesterday, Christine and I went out to dinner with my mother and a family friend.
At first, this friend was being extremely negative, commenting on politics, the virus, and so on.
Initially I wanted to get sucked into that negativity. I wanted to comment on it myself. But I realized that this would have just intensified that negative vibration, and definitely felt worse.
So I made an intentional choice to just ignore what she was saying. I closed my eyes and took a few seconds to recenter myself and feel better.
And dinner proceeded to be amazing! Our waitress was great, all the food was good — even better than usual in my opinion, and we found a great deal on shrimp which I swear they’ve never had there before.
I felt intensely happy all throughout dinner, because I made that deliberate choice to feel better — and it had real, physical effects almost immediately.
So my point is, you do have control. In fact, you have moment-by-moment control over your vibration, which then will determine what kind of results you manifest.
It’s up to you, 100%, whether you move towards all the things you want in life, or away from them.
There is no assertion in this reality, so it is only ever up to you.
But it requires you to have a self-awareness of your thoughts and emotions throughout the day.
It requires you to pay attention to how you feel, and adjust your thinking as necessary to adapt.
It’s a hard habit to develop at first, but once you do… life will appear simply magical.
Everything will begin to work out for you in miraculous ways, and it will seem as though the Universe’s only goal is to make you happy — because of course, it is.
But this doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, the whole thing should be effortless.
Next weekend, on November 7, I’m holding my next masterclass, Creating from Non-Doing.
In that class, I’ll show you how you can make feeling better a regular habit, without all the hard work of trying to make anything happen through your mind or by your action.
