A lot of spiritual teachers talk about freedom. It’s touted as the end goal of the spiritual path.
But what does it even mean?
I’ve discovered that there are different types of freedom.
Those on the right-hand path talk about freedom, but to me it’s only a pale shadow of the freedom offered on the left-hand path.
For while the right-hand path offers freedom from suffering, it asks for a far higher price in my opinion: the surrender of your desires.
On the LHP we have the best of all worlds: freedom from suffering, and the freedom to pursue and achieve your desires as you wish.
In fact I find that the LHP offers everything the RHP does, but goes one step beyond, to actually allowing you to affect the world around you.
There’s no trade-off—no disadvantages or some hidden catch. Except for maybe one thing: it’s difficult.
And it’s frightening, because you must take 100% responsibility for your life. You cannot pin the blame on some higher being—you cannot pretend it was fate that caused your life not to turn out how you wanted it to.
It rips off the veil of ignorance and makes you see things for what they really are.
But I hardly call that a downside. It’s just reserved for those who are strong enough to perceive the truth and take full responsibility for their lives.
Freedom is in fact the first fundamental law of darkness, which I outlined at great length in my latest newsletter (YES it’s finally out!!!).
Without freedom, or the means and knowledge to attain it, you cannot walk the path of darkness.
