Yesterday I had a situation that I was anxious about all day. I was afraid it was going to go horribly. Anxiety would arise and I’d release it, and then more anxiety would arise, and so on and so forth.
And then do you know what happened?
Now this is the part where I’m supposed to say everything went great, there was nothing to worry about, etc.
Nope.
It happened, it was pretty horrible, but you know what?
I survived.
And I was OK.
And after the fact, I felt pretty stupid for being anxious about it all day.
It was going to happen— I couldn’t have stopped it. It was probably going to be horrible— it’s debatable how much I could have done about that the day of.
But, I survived, and I was OK. And no, it wasn’t really as bad as I had imagined.
Our minds always make far more of our problems than the actual experience of them when they occur.
Do things happen sometimes that are kind of awful? Yes, of course they do.
But worrying about those things will accomplish absolutely nothing, except:
- Making the experience even worse by attuning yourself to negative energy ahead of time
- Wasting countless hours worrying and being miserable
I do think the extensive releasing I did beforehand helped to soften the experience a bit.
But, there is simply no point to endlessly worrying about something. Either it’ll be horrible and you’ll deal with it when it comes, or it’ll be OK and then you wasted all that time worrying for nothing.
Regardless, you are accomplishing exactly nothing by wasting that energy on worry.
Now there is a way out of even this, though.
Because did it really go horribly? Only because it bruised my ego a bit. In reality, nothing ever went wrong.
So guess what? If you release your attachments and aversions around the entire situation, it is completely possible that you could go through it perfectly at peace, even if every possible thing that could go wrong, does.
To the free mind, nothing is ever “wrong”. Everything is always perfect.
I’ve recently released a new guided meditation that helps you move beyond the turmoil of the mind, and into the peace at your core, which I call the Zero State. This meditation will “plant the seeds” of your creations— of any desire that you might be holding right now. It’ll tune your subconscious to these more positive emotions, allowing the things you desire to effortlessly slip into your reality.
I recommend listening to this meditation daily, as it is extremely powerful and will help to attune your subconscious to all that you desire. I partnered with a professional voiceover artist to give the best experience possible in this guided meditation.
