It’s so easy to think that we are affected by outside circumstances against our will. It can feel like we are a victim of life.
This is a sentiment I’ve mentioned periodically but I feel it deserves more attention: this idea that there is no assertion, only attraction.
Everything that you currently experience in your life is due to you attracting it, consciously or unconsciously. Nothing has asserted itself into your reality.
Sometimes I’ve been quite convinced that something has asserted itself. But when I’m really honest with myself and truly take a look at what is going on, I see that I did indeed attract it.
When we think that circumstances can assert themselves against our will, the Universe feels like a frightening and even unsafe place.
But when we realize that everything has been attracted by ourselves, now suddenly it is the safest place we could possibly be.
Our experience of the Universe is dictated by how kind we have chosen to be to ourselves.
If you don’t like your experience, then change your experience of it. Be kinder to yourself. Judge yourself less. Accept yourself more. Be OK where things are. Take it easy.
Then things will begin to shift, ever so subtly.
You are your own torturer. You can similarly be your own liberator. It’s all up to you.
I’ve just recently created a new checklist called 7 Steps to Becoming a God. It outlines everything you need to do to become the sole creator of your reality. This is the foundation I build all my practices upon.
