Recently I had a bit of a wake up call. I realized that I had become a bit lazy with manifesting. Yes it happens to all of us from time to time. I had gotten mired in the everyday happenings of life, and started observing life instead of creating it.
I find that life generally sends me a wake up call or two when I start losing focus like that. OK, so much of my situation lately has been a wake up call, but anything that came along, I just pretended it was OK and I could tolerate it.
That word “tolerate”, by the way, is one of the worst words. More on that later though.
Anyway, then life hit me where it hurt— where it knew I wouldn’t “tolerate” it— in my bank account.
Negative financial manifestations started happening. It was just small things at first— so small that I honestly don’t remember them at the moment.
But then the big one hit: one that finally got my attention.
Long story short, I had accidentally made a far larger payment than intended on my credit card. I meant to pause the autopay and make a smaller payment, but it slipped my mind until it was too late.
The credit card company wouldn’t help, and the bank tried to help, but one of their employees gave me wrong information, which meant I was powerless to do anything about this significant charge.
OK, not a horrible, unrecoverable catastrophe, but still big enough that I felt it. It made things a bit dicy for a short time.
This was about two weeks ago, and I subsequently realized that I had to get back on track with my focus. I had allowed it to slip.
In a short time, money was flowing again. I had reestablished my focus and reality was shifting before my eyes. Yes it really is that quick when you know what to do.
It taught me a lesson: we’re always OK. Even if we get a bit off track, it just takes a bit of refocusing to get right back on track, headed in the right direction.
But it also taught me another lesson: don’t be lazy. Don’t be contented to simply observe life and hope for the best. Be a creator, by choosing how you want life to be, and focusing in that direction.
And finally, a third lesson: don’t tolerate the negative. It just means that life will have to throw a bigger disrupter your way to get your attention. Tolerate nothing: the moment things start to feel uncomfortable, notice you’re headed in the wrong direction and adjust your course immediately. We’re not supposed to tolerate anything.
It can be quite difficult sometimes to notice when you’ve gotten off track, and then to have the wherewithal to know how to get back on track and getting the results you want.
