I really cannot overemphasize the importance of just spending time tuned into infinite Awareness. It’s an often underutilized practice, and yet I cannot think of anything more important. All of the visualization and positive thinking in the world could not compare to just a few minutes tuned into Beingness.
It’s like a fish in a pond. Say you take that fish out and put it in a puddle. It might be OK, for a little while, but it’s really not a condition that it can thrive under. But return it back to the pond, and it’ll thrive once again.
Most of us try to thrive in a “puddle” of infinite Awareness, allowing barely enough through for us to survive. To be sure, we can never entirely cut ourselves off, but disallowing the ocean of Beingness at our core harms us in innumerable ways.
It’s the true cause of suffering, unhappiness, depression, sickness, and anything else unpleasant you can think of.
When you can truly start to open to that infinite Awareness that you are, then all problems begin to dissolve. There are no problems in infinite Awareness.
So I suggest taking a little time every day and just centering yourself. Tune into that Awareness that is beyond your sense of “I”—beyond your sense of the person you seem to be. If you don’t know how to do this at first, simply center and open up to something greater revealing itself. In time, it will.
