I find that people often separate the spiritual from the material. Either you can be enlightened and enjoy absolute freedom, or you can have material success. Not both.
But that’s just not true. These are two sides of the same coin, and indeed I believe that you cannot truly have one without the other.
Our mind likes to complicate success. It likes to make it difficult and hard to attain. Then it likes to tell us that only those who work hard can actually achieve it.
So if we put in more hours, perhaps get another job entirely, slave away doing what we don’t want to do, only can we maybe be successful. Just maybe, though.
Never mind that there are tons of people enjoying lots of money, the perfect relationships, wonderful health, the perfect career, and so on, with no effort whatsoever. We just think those people are “lucky”.
I’ve found instead that success (in any area of life) and effortlessness go hand-in-hand. You can’t have true success without having the understanding of living effortlessly.
Unfortunately effortlessness goes against all the programming we’ve picked up over the years. Our minds actively fight us on giving up effort, on letting go and allowing things to naturally fall into place. It can be downright terrifying.
But it’s a necessary process. What has holding on and using a lot of effort really ever accomplished for you? It’s not likely to change just because you add on even more effort.
No, try the effortless path instead. Give up all effort and just allow.
That doesn’t mean not having your own will. You’ll notice the new opening to my post: “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.” This is part of the tenet of Thelema (the other part which will be found in my closing below), and stands for our central right to pursue our will wholly and without hesitation.
So effortlessness does not stand for lacking will. It simply stands for knowing the proper way to pursue one’s will, via working on your inner reality, not taking action in your outer reality.
It’s a process, though. And to help you with this process, I am finally opening sign ups for my course, 81 Days to Effortless Success.
I see this course having a twofold purpose: firstly to teach you the ways of effortlessness via the Tao Te Ching, but also to show you the intersection of will and love, which are the two principles that lead to becoming the creator of your reality.
The intersection of these concepts has been the secret for my own continued success, and I wish to share that with you.
