This is day 4 of the 7 Day Effortlessness Challenge. I’ve been hearing some great updates from those doing the challenge with me, so please keep it coming!
Day 3 was wonderful for me. There was no major negative momentum whatsoever, as the positive momentum is taking over more and more.
One particular event stood out for me.
Yesterday I had my monthly one-on-one with my boss at work. This always causes me a bit of trepidation to be honest, as I still have some unresolved issues around the topic of work. Meetings in the past have been overall positive, but have also left me with the feeling that I’m behind, or just not capable enough. I know that wasn’t his intention to communicate that, but it’s how I felt.
So starting Tuesday, I started deliberately raising my vibration around the topic of this meeting. It wasn’t all that hard because I really have felt that I’ve been doing better.
Wednesday morning though was harder, since it was so immediate. However I kept focusing on the positive aspects I could find for my boss, and just trying my best to flow with the situation.
The meeting, of course, was a huge success! There were no negative points mentioned, and in fact we had quite a nice discussion. I was also able to express my appreciation to him for something the company did for us remote workers a few weeks ago (they literally bought us dinner randomly). Showing that appreciation seemed to affect him, and I also felt greater appreciation for my job as a result.
We even got to chatting about crypto and investing a bit, which is a topic I’m very passionate on.
Anyway, it was a very positive meeting. And it set the tone for the rest of my day as well. So much so that I was able to leave work almost an hour early because they had no more work for me to do.
So events are lining up quite nicely for me. What surprised me, though I suppose it really shouldn’t have, was how easy the whole thing was. I really didn’t put all that much work into feeling better about this meeting (this is the effortlessness challenge after all), and yet it totally transformed my experience in just a few short hours.
Any kind of creation can be that easy. It doesn’t matter if it’s “just” a meeting with a boss, or increasing your income, or finding your dream relationship. Whatever it is, it can (and should) be easy, if you allow it to be.
Much of the difficulty and struggle comes from the expectation that it will be hard. But what if that expectation simply weren’t there? What if you didn’t need it all to work out right this moment?
The greatest thing I’ve learned this week so far is that change happens gradually, but it does change for the better when you simply allow and remain in effortlessness. Each day has been markedly better than the last—perhaps not drastically so but definitely noticeably.
So let it get better. Let it all come easily to you. Stop trying to make it happen. When you stop trying to find that which you want, it will find you.
I’ll be giving even more information and specific details on how to practice willful effortlessness in my upcoming Circle of Darkness Newsletter coming out in just 8 days.
