I think that any time we’re pursuing a goal, it is very common to try to make it happen.
The thing with goals is that the less effort you put in, the better.
I don’t mean effort into releasing the resistance, but effort into wanting the goal, trying to achieve the goal through external action, etc.
As long as you are using the ego, you are efforting. It’s what the ego does.
When you can let go of the ego and just be who you truly are, simply allowing the goal to happen without effort, then it will come extremely quickly.
Goals don’t come based on how much effort you put into them. They don’t come based on worthiness or deservingness.
They come because you have no resistance, and simply choose for them to come.
Being your true Self is being in a place of effortlessness.
So I would ask yourself, how much effort are you putting in to trying to get the goal?
How much are you wanting that goal?
If the answer is anything greater than zero, that’s your obstacle. Could you simply let go of that effort and wanting, and simply allow?
Allowing is a totally non-egoic activity, which is why it is so hard for us. But it is the most vital part of the process. Indeed it is the only part of the process that we have any control of.
But if you try this, you will find that allowing is the most powerful thing you could ever do, even though you’re not doing anything at all.
If you’d like to know how to let go of all effort and simply allow, I invite you to apply for a free consultation with me to see how I can help. Just go here to schedule: www.darkascent.org/apply
