I’ve taught a lot about next level goals and the tension required to achieve them. I’ve seen many of you succeed at achieving your next level goals thanks to these techniques.
However, I don’t want to neglect the other end of the spectrum.
After achieving my ultimate level goal of getting off of SSI last month, I’ve been working on just allowing my energy to stabilize at this new level. There is plenty to get used to, subconscious structures to be stabilized, etc.
As such, I don’t feel a very big need to push myself further right now. Yes, I use the law of attraction in small, everyday ways—to solve a persistent programming bug at work, to get a couple extra sign-ups for some service at Co-Creation Coaching, or simply to make things flow more smoothly overall—but there are no big next level goals looming right now. Overall, I’m happy with where I am.
Of course, that’ll change, with time. I’ll crave the next level. But for now, I’m satisfied.
So today I want to write about the happiness that can be had at the current level. There’s so much success and happiness waiting for you right here where you are, but it is often being denied because we’re too focused on worrying about what is.
The Levels of the Subconscious Mind
Quite a while back I asked you to see your life not as a slope, but a series of steps. A slope indicates that you can end up anywhere on the spectrum, depending on how you’re feeling at any given time. But, a series of steps indicates that you’re on one of those steps right now, and will remain there unless something happens to move you either to the next highest or next lowest step.
Many people think that if they just feel good, then they can become millionaires, get their dream home, and the whole nine yards. However, the analogy of the steps shows us that this isn’t true.
If you feel good, you’ll be more stable on your current step—at your current level. It takes the third property of energy, power, to move enough energy to bring you to the next step.
So, I’ve been showing you how to apply power to get to that next level. And so many of you have been doing so well with that. If you’re still struggling with moving up to the next level, my new class, The Art of Reality Creation 2.0, is all about using energy to create next level and ultimate level goals.
But, I don’t want to discount feeling good altogether. There is a lot of value in the current level. In fact, many people have not entirely maximized the value they can get out of the current level.
No, you won’t become a millionaire by feeling good on the current level, without any additional applied power. However, it will make life smoother overall. It will make life more magical. It will increase synchronicities in your everyday experience. It will bring your everyday desires to you much more quickly.
How to Maximize the Current Level
By definition, the current level is easy, or at least should be. However, many of us have trouble letting go sufficiently to actually allow in what we can actually achieve at this level.
So, how do you fully allow the current level to be manifested in your life?
1. Drop Your Next Level Goals, Just for Now
If you want to focus on the current level for a while, drop any next level goals you have been working on. You can return back to them later, and your progress will not be erased.
This isn’t always necessary, but if a next level goal is causing you a lot of anxiety, then it can be constricting what you can receive even on your current level.
Where the next level is about tension, the current level is all about ease. Note that these aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive. You can indeed work on a next level goal if it has healthy tension, while keeping a feeling of ease around your everyday life. What ruins ease is anxiety, not tension, and as I’ve mentioned before, these are very different things.
2. Decide to Be Happy Where You Are
Not everything in life is perfect, I get that. But guess what? It never will be. The current level isn’t about improving life in major ways. It’s about finding the little blessings in everyday life and allowing them to be more important than the things you don’t like as much.
What good is this? When you can notice the little blessings, more little blessings will effortlessly come to you. As described above, things will smooth out. Synchronicities will increase. Life will become magical.
But it takes a dedication to looking for the positive. Whatever you focus on, you’re going to get more things like that.
3. Question Your Beliefs
I’ve always known that things would just work out, and they always have. I know some others who are always waiting for the other shoe to drop, and of course it always does for them.
What’s the difference? Only how we see the world.
I’ve described before how after getting my job, it was a pretty big adjustment. It almost seemed too good to be true. I had some real limiting beliefs of scarcity that I had to work through.
Not many of these should be triggered on the current level, but some of these beliefs are perpetual outlooks on life that we carry around with us, which color everything we see. Watch out for sneaky little beliefs like that, and try to free yourself from them.
Pursuing the Next Level While Maximizing the Current
I recommended above dropping your next level goals for a while. I’m not saying you have to do this forever, but it can help for a while.
But how can you start pursuing major changes in your life while still keeping that feeling of ease?
It’s really about not trying to jump too far at once. Once you get really good at manifesting, then you can jump further and further to your next level goals. But in the beginning, your next level goals should just have very minimal tension. It should be enough that you feel it, but not so much that you are overwhelmed by it.
It’s also about not allowing that goal to totally overwhelm your present happiness. Yes you should feel tension when thinking of that goal, but it should not consume every minute of your day. You should live your life to the fullest, and also pursue that next level goal. If you can’t do both, then perhaps you are taking on more than you can handle right now.
There’s nothing wrong with starting small. You don’t have to have everything you could possibly want, tomorrow. It’s a life-long path of discovery and growth. But allow this moment to be okay as it is, just for now.
On a sidenote, I know today’s post has a bit of a different format than usual. Namely, it’s far shorter. 😛
I plan on writing shorter posts for a while, at least most of the time. It allows me to get posts out there more often, plus not all ideas can have 3,000 words written about them. I’m still finding the best balance between Co-Creation Coaching and my job, and I think this will help me to put content out there with less stress. 🙂
How About You?
Now it’s your turn. Are you allowing yourself to maximize what you can receive at your current level? Can you balance the ease of the current level with the tension of the next? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Always enjoy reading your posts. Thanks for what you’re putting out! As for maximizing at my current level, I always seem to manifest my biggest desires when I make a command and commit to having it in the moment and then release it right after. I go on about my business and focus on what’s in front. Then, almost out of nowhere, things begin to move and make way for the manifestation. It usually doesn’t take long, just depends on the goal. I usually have the aha moment of saying “hey, this is just what I asked for!”
I really appreciate you focusing on living in the moment and maximizing the current level as I’ve upped my goals and moved away from this which was working.
Me too. It can basically be summarized by the popular notion of “it will happen when you least expect it”… although obviously it’s not as simple, since you need to be aligned in order for the external to mirror your internal. But alignment doesn’t have to mean that you’re thinking about it 24/7–all sorts of ‘obstacles’ seem to pop up that way and even the overthinking becomes a sort of resistance.
Hey John,
Yes indeed, it’s all about commitment and deliberately choosing your goal. Then letting it go enough so the energy can go out there and create it. 🙂

Hey Brandon,
This isn’t exactly what this post is about, but after a really intense (and long) ritual or visualization session, I find that I need some time to relax and breathe a bit. I remember you’ve spoken about this while discussing spells and rituals. If I spend a longer than usual time really focusing on a goal, I usually need a day or a few days to allow the energy to settle. Sometimes I’ll even have trouble focusing on my other goals if the energy was really intense. All that energy requires time to recalibrate and catch up to afterwards, even if it feels good while doing it. It’s kind of like engaging in a really intense physical activity that you enjoy: it’s fun in the moment, but you need time to rest and recuperate afterwards.
R, what happened to you? Where are you?

“It’s really about not trying to jump too far at once. Once you get really good at manifesting, then you can jump further and further to your next level goals.”
Yes exactly. So in other words “you have to be realistic.”
It’s so peculiar how this all works, it makes a lot of sense, yet there are ‘gaps’ in my understanding because I’ve just recently begun this journey.
At the beginning, one is working with lots of limiting beliefs, so small steps are much better. I know that when I tried to go from 1 to 100 in my first deliberate manifestation, it felt so awesome that my energy was through the roof and I couldn’t do much of anything else. When the manifestation arrived, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be something much “closer” to my current level. It allowed me to take a better look at my beliefs and current level. I upgraded from it, and I’m much closer to the step I tried to take initially.
“I’ve described before how after getting my job, it was a pretty big adjustment. It almost seemed too good to be true. I had some real limiting beliefs of scarcity that I had to work through.”
It’s part of the journey. Those things go deep. Makes me wonder about how much I’m not aware of what happens on a subconscious level. Discovering it can be painful because I have to work through them, but it’s also what makes things more ‘magical’ as I start to understand this whole system better.
Great post.
