Have you ever had a huge desire? The structural tension of this desire was so strong, that it took up just about all of your energy. You worked tirelessly to fulfill this desire, not because you needed it, but because you wanted it for its own sake.
It’s a journey. It’s not something you achieve in a day, or often even a week or a month. But, it’s all worth it once you achieve that goal.
If you’ve experienced this kind of thing before, then you know about the transformative power of your goals.
Your goals have an immense power to transform you from within. By the time you have reached your goal, you are not the same person as when you started.
But why is this, and what does it mean for you?
2 Types of Goals
There are essentially two types of goals:
- Current level goals: Goals that are easy for you
- Next level goals: Goals that require more alignment to achieve
Think about all the things in your life that come easily to you. These are your current level goals.
Your current income level is a current level goal, because that’s the level of abundance you’re primed for.
Other examples include a successful, healthy relationship, your level of health, your performance at your job, etc.
There are probably hundreds or thousands of current level goals. You just don’t notice them because they are, well, already at your level. They require no effort to maintain.
But the next level goals are the ones that we’re interested in here. They’re the fun ones, because they aren’t so easy to achieve.
Examples of next level goals might include increasing your income level, improving your relationship if you’re already in one, getting into a relationship if you’re not in one yet, improving your health, getting promoted at work, finding a new job, going on vacation and having to save for it, etc.
You can tell your next level goals very simply: ask yourself, “What do I now want, which feels a bit uncomfortable to me?”
Let’s say you want that dream job. You think of it, and it’s a bit uncomfortable, because you recognize you don’t have it yet. It’s a next level goal.
My monthly income goals for the past two months have been next level goals, because they were not comfortable for me. They took a bit of work to achieve.
Your current level goals almost never change. I say almost, because obviously things sometimes get worse. You are laid off at work. You break up with a long-term partner. Your health gets worse. These things obviously happen, even though they were current level goals. The reason they happen will be discussed in a future post.
But, it is your next level goals that take most of your focus.
Your most common or severe anxieties can point to your next level goals.
Imagine an all too common scenario: You’re living paycheck-to-paycheck. You have anxiety about how you’re going to buy food to eat, pay the electric bill, etc.
The implied next level goal here is that you no longer live paycheck-to-paycheck, you have plenty of money to buy groceries, pay the electric bill, etc. If that weren’t a next level goal, well, you wouldn’t be anxious about it.
Your Next Level Goals Should Feel Uncomfortable
Look, I know this is pretty unusual to hear. But, your next level goals are supposed to feel uncomfortable.
Why? You don’t have them yet. If they didn’t feel uncomfortable, it would mean either (1) you were sugar coating your current reality, or (2) trying to deny your true goals.
As I said on Monday, either one of those options will nullify your structural tension, and halt any forward momentum you may have been generating.
Most commonly, I see people trying to be okay with current reality, and not admitting that they want something else.
Please note this is different from making peace with what is, which is an essential part of the process. Making peace with current reality is simply saying to yourself, “This is where I am now, and that’s okay.”
But it’s not trying to make yourself be happy with where you are now, and stop wanting what you want. You don’t say, “This is where I am now, and I am happy with this.”
Obviously, you’re not. Your next level goal is pulling you forward to something new.
This is the first step you must take when a new desire is born within you. You must give it free rein to excite you, to terrify you, to pull Universal Energy through you through your emotional reaction to that desire.
If you say, “I don’t have my desire, but I’m happy with things as they are,” you’re lying to yourself, and not allowing your desire to pull you forward to the attainment of that goal.
As I said before, get comfortable with tension. Get comfortable with not knowing whether you’ll reach your desire. It’s more comfortable to try to resolve that tension, but that will sabotage your progress.
This is where transformation begins. You leave that question unanswered. You let the desire exist, and admit you are not there yet. There is more work to be done, first, and that’s okay. That’s more than okay: it’s the flow of life.
I mentioned in Tuesday’s Spiritual Freedom Support Call that my current monthly goal is terrifying. It’s well above what I have aimed for in previous months.
And I’ll admit, I quite nearly lowered my goal, especially when I realized that practically speaking, it’d be a lot harder than I anticipated.
But, it didn’t feel right to lower that goal. It felt like compromising. It felt like giving up on what I wanted.
So, with a decent amount of trepidation, I kept the goal, and continued to work towards it.
Already, things have moved in huge ways to bring me closer. I’m not quite so terrified, but there’s still a bit to go, too.
That’s the tension. That’s the nature of a next level goal. It’s going to be a bit uncomfortable. It might even be very uncomfortable. The amount of discomfort you can handle is up to you, and you alone. I did this month’s goal as a bit of a challenge to myself. You might prefer only to deal with slight discomfort. But, the nature of next level goals is that there will be discomfort.
Goals Require Something of Us
In a similar vein, it’s important to note that your goals will require something of you.
What does that mean? Simply that you will not be left untouched by your goal. It will change you.
Again, your current level goals are the goals you are already a match to. They require nothing from you. You set an intention and they come rather easily.
I’ve said before that I will often intend to receive money, and will receive it the same day. Usually it’s in the amount of $20-$40. That is an easy amount for me. It’s a current level goal. It requires nothing from me: I just set the intention and it happens.
But, a next level goal is, well, at another level altogether.
The moment you rest your focus upon such a goal, it will pull energy through you. It will immediately show you the discrepancy between where you are, and where you want to be. It’ll feel uncomfortable.
But, the more you focus on it, the more you meditate on it, the more you use your preferred techniques on it, the more you change.
Yes, you change. Outer reality is a mirror. You must become the person who is a match to that goal, before the goal will come.
So, the goal requires you to embody it. It requires you to take on the essence of that goal.
You’ve heard that before, I know. But it’s more radical than perhaps first seems apparent.
You don’t just take on the essence for a few moments, though that’s how it begins. You become the essence of that goal within yourself.
It’s often indiscernible for you, but it’s true.
My October goal now seems small. Even my November goal has already been exceeded this month.
Why? Because I became the essence of those goals, and then I moved on. My current goal is changing me to become the essence of that goal, too, and so previous goals seem inconsequential.
But they weren’t at the time. I had to go through the same transformation process for each of those goals.
Think back to something you’ve accomplished in the past, which at the time seemed impossible, but now seems effortless.
That’s this principle in action. The goal transformed you to become a person who could easily achieve that goal. You took on its essence within yourself, and became resonant with that vibration.
Vibration doesn’t just change overnight. Yes, we talk about “raising your vibration” in the moment, to focus on something more positive. But your overall vibration, or you could say your essence, changes over time.
And the key to change is tension and release. It’s holding the vision of your goal, letting the tension be there, then allowing yourself to be changed to become aligned with that goal.
It’s not skipping about in a blissful state all day. There may be moments of that, but allow the process to be as uncomfortable as it is. Neither force it to be positive nor negative. Let the energy move where it naturally will, as led by the structural tension you put in place.
How to Allow Yourself to Be Transformed by Your Goals
So you have a next level goal. You accept the discomfort of holding that goal, because you realize that it must transform you, before you can have it.
But, how do you allow it to transform you?
Transformation is about change. It’s about keeping some parts, and stripping away others.
When you focus on your goal, it immediately forms tension, because your subconscious mind knows that you just don’t have this yet, and frankly aren’t even close to it.
When this happens, you have a choice:
- Drop your goal and follow your current path, or
- Choose the goal, allowing it to change you
Transformation is about a series of choices. Those choices take the form of either focusing on what you currently hold to be true in your subconscious mind, or focusing on the essence of your goal.
If you choose the path that your subconscious mind presents, you will get more of the same as you have been getting, both good and bad. It’s a familiar path, which makes it comforting.
If you choose the path your goal presents, then you align yourself a bit more with that goal.
Every time you choose the path of your goal, your subconscious mind learns that this path is more important. Every time you choose the path of your subconscious beliefs, your subconscious mind learns that your current beliefs are more important.
The law of attraction is about choices. It’s about choosing between current reality, or the vision of a new reality you hold in mind. Your choices solidify whichever path you choose. It makes that path more real—more reflected within outer reality.
That’s why I don’t accept the idea that you can simply focus on something that makes you feel good, even if it’s totally unrelated to your goal, and you’ll still manifest the goal itself. Maybe it helps you to feel better overall, but it doesn’t help you to be any more aligned with the goal than you were before. Only the moment-by-moment deliberate choosing of your goal can do that.
Feeling better can do one thing, and one thing only: it can make it easier to receive your current level goals. We all know we can set a simple intention, and it’ll come quickly, if we don’t obsess.
But your next level goals require transformation from within, which occurs when you are faced with the choice between who you are now, and who you will be when you have this goal.
So how are you transformed by your goals?
Simply by focusing on them, and choosing them repeatedly as your subconscious mind objects to your choice.
Just like any relationship, your goal will naturally change you as you focus on it. That’s why I always recommend meditating on your goal daily. Journal about it. Visualize it. Bask in the having of that goal.
By increasing your contact with your goal, you naturally become more and more in alignment with it.
That doesn’t mean to obsess and to think about it all day. Just a few times is more than enough, as far as manifestation techniques are concerned.
But, that is more than enough.
Then, throughout the rest of the day, your subconscious mind will make its opinion known: it’s not a fan.
But, you keep choosing the goal, and with each choice, your subconscious mind is more and more on board.
Your old, limiting beliefs simply fall away as you choose not to react to them. New beliefs are formed as you focus on the type of person you will be when you have your goal.
And then as you change within, circumstances start to change without, too. Your goal, having taken root within yourself, will now sprout into your everyday life. Through your deliberate choice of the goal, over and over again, you have made it reality.
That’s what it’s like to be transformed by your goals.
Want to go deeper with this information? This Sunday, I’m hosting a 90-minute teleclass that will help you to get clearer on these ideas. It is called, 10 Essential Keys to Make the Law of Attraction Work for You.
I’ll give you the guidelines I’ve used to manifest my biggest goals, and how to use each one in your own life. You’ll also receive a PDF reference sheet with all the guidelines.
How About You?
Now it’s your turn. Have you experienced being transformed by your goals? Are you being honest with yourself about what your next level goals are? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. You need to become that person. Transformations are cool, but we need to allow them to happen.
I’d prefer to be elsewhere now and try to make peace with where I am. Looking at the past, I also noticed things transformed when I embraced where I was and made the most out of it. This was actually a stepping stone to where I was going and eventually went/became. It’s a process and I wonder how others get exactly what they want.
Yes, it’s a process. And a balance needs to be found between making peace with what is, and actually trying to convince oneself that the goal isn’t really desired.
You get exactly what you want by choosing it as a goal, and walking the vibrational path to get there. This Sunday’s teleclass will go into a lot more detail.
I can’t believe the level of clarity I receive with each of your blog posts! Today I also reread the post about how to let go, and I was able to understand what you wrote there, on a whole new level. Finally things make sense, and a lot of confusion that I had for such long time about LOA has dissipated. I really like the idea that, if I’m not satisfied with something, I don’t have to sugar coat my current reality. And making peace with my current reality doesn’t mean being okay even if I never get what I want, but instead being okay with whatever is here now, while having the confidence that I’m moving towards the preferred. These 2 misconceptions were troubling me for quite some time, but now things are so crystal clear around that. Thank you so much, Brandon!
Also, I have a personal question for you, so if you don’t feel comfortable with answering it, then it’s okay. I was thinking, but I can’t come up with what resistance might be popping up for you with your monthly financial goals. Like, the current, terrifying one. You said that you didn’t have financial losses. I assume you don’t have a mortgage to pay, nor is there a chance you’ll go to jail or end up on street if you don’t achieve your monthly financial goal. Since you are intending a challenging financial prosperity, I assume that your subconscious mind is bringing you experiences that are trying to prove the opposite, like financial losses. I’m just curious, because it’s not apparent to me. 😛
Hi Z,
I’m so glad that this post helped to clarify things for you.
Regarding your question, no, nothing like that. It’s simply trying to take things to the next level. Moving to the next level is always going to be scary, not because the experiences are inherently frightening, but because you are going against more of your current belief system than with a smaller goal.
We are quite secure. There’s no fear of not being able to pay the bills, or anything like that. There are no financial losses, either. But, when you commit yourself to a large goal, it is frightening because you simply don’t know if and how you will reach it. You are stepping into the realm of the unknown.
Does that make sense?
Hmm I can’t quite get into the feeling of what you’re saying. For example, one thing I’m intending now is me being very open with people, having great communication with people, having friends, and even having some leader qualities. It’s such a contrast to my current reality. Though admittedly, I didn’t put a time limit for this goal, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel scary. It feels good. Of course, when the resistance energy starts flowing massively, and I feel extremely isolated and abandoned, then at that time it’s hard and very scary, frightening. However when I think about the goal right now, I don’t feel any negative emotions. I surely know that this goal comes from my heart, and it’s about creating a new, true version of me.
Maybe I don’t feel scared because I didn’t put a time limit? Or maybe it’s not big enough, although I’m not so sure about that. Or maybe I didn’t make it specific enough? I don’t know, I have no idea.
Hi Z,
A few questions:
Do you really believe it is going to happen? Have you put the full strength of your will behind it, where you absolutely decide that you will have this goal? Are you specific about what exactly this goal looks like for you? Does the goal feel sufficiently big to you?
A goal like, “more openness and communication”, I can see not being very frightening, unless there’s a lot of resistance to it of course. A specific goal like, “Make $x per month” is more specific, and therefore pulls more Universal Energy through you. It’s also an either/or. Either you achieve it or you don’t. Your goal is very subjective. You can’t point to it and say, “There’s the evidence I’ve reached my goal.”
With a more specific goal, it feels a bit scary. You don’t know if you’ll reach it. It feels good, of course, but it challenges you.
Thanks. I’ll go through these questions once I’m not drowsy anymore.
Though actually I gave a wrong example. A good example would be, if I intended to achieve a “big” amount of money within a month, but the failure to manifest it had no impact on my life, then I can’t imagine why it would be terrifying. If I fail at manifesting that money, then what? I can see it as being terrifying only if I need it for a ransom, or to pay bills, or if I made a bet, and need to make it happen, otherwise I’d get embarrassed, or if failing to do so would get me in jail or some other trouble.
Well, I guess that at this point I can’t get into the feeling of finding that terrifying, and maybe I’ll be able to understand it once I accumulate some experience with manifesting.
Hi Z,
The issue, I think, is that you are approaching this theoretically. Actually get out there, set a big goal, then report back how you feel as a result, in the process of aligning with that goal and creating the tension.
Once you deliberately choose it, it’s no longer something that you can just say, “Oh, well, whether it comes or not….” That doesn’t hold enough energy. But, something you put your creative power behind, well, it can be a little scary when there’s a large gap.
I think you’re so used to the problem-oriented state that you’re not used to this new way of seeing things. Like I said, test it out, and see what you feel.
Yeah, that must be it. I guess I’m still in the middle of switching from the Hermit way to the Magus way. That’s why I still sometimes feel it doesn’t matter if it comes or not. I also think my willpower is still not strong enough, because I still feel partially dead inside, due to all those bad experiences my life has brought me.
One thing is for sure, though. No matter which way I’m walking, I frequently get hit by semi-strong to strong negative emotions, and that is always a chance to release and move closer to freedom, and to my goals, as well.
I get it.
Believe it or not, the creative path is not terrifying because of the threat of some bad thing happening. It’s simply because of the energy that is pulling you forward to your goal, and the fact that you must step into the unknown to get there. But it’s not, so to speak, a bad kind of terrifying, lol. It excites you.
Well, today I got hit by another wave of negative emotions that defy my image of being open around people and having friends who like me. So, I guess that this means that my goal is progressing. The goal does feel sufficiently big to me, and I feel that I am specific enough (at least for now).
The issue I noticed today is that, when I start feeling that nobody likes me and nobody has anything in common with me, I tend to switch to the Hermit mindset of it’s okay if it doesn’t happen, I have these other good things in my life. But I realized that I’m doing that because the tension is very big. Objectively I feel that it is perfect for my growth, but yeah it’s big.
Which leads me to your question:
That’s great, Z! And yes, you’re exactly correct. It is by continuing to choose the goal that the tension is developed.
Now you know what I mean when I say choosing a goal is scary. It doesn’t give you that escape of lessening the tension and just trying to not care. You move through the tension by continuing to choose the goal, again and again. It’s about choices. 🙂
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. You need to become that person. Transformations are cool, but we need to allow them to happen.

I AGREE with “Z”s comments about CLARITY and, to me, what an “Intention Transformation” implies is “what is my one thing I can BE (state) such that EVERYTHING ELSE IS EASIER OR DROPS AWAY being UNNECESSARY”? And this insight of “my one thing” TRANSFORMS our very BEing!
What is the old saying, “AN INTENTION TRANSFORMATION a day keeps the doctor away” or something like that!!
Thanks for your comment, Cope.
I agree, at least for the most part. But I don’t think there is ever one thing that makes everything else easier. I think you are always on a journey of reaching higher and higher, and so you will never be at that point where it is all just done. Our nature is to strive for the next step. Some might rest for a while, but then you get bored with that.
Peter Ralston in his book, “Pursuing Consciousness: The Book of Enlightenment and Transformation” talks in chapter 4 “Setting the stage for Transformation” about “Letting Go Rather than Attaining” and mirrors your recent article on “Letting Go” (Dropping). He states, “Transformation demands a confrontation with LETTING GO of YOURSELF, the “death” of what you’ve come to know and experience and identify with as yourself to BEcome who you are”. Seems like a Molting to me!!
This is ALL GOOD!! For us ALL!!
That’s great. I really like that. 🙂 I agree that transformation is about letting go of the old.

These days I’ve had a serious problem with my apartment. Well, it’s been around ever since I’ve moved in, but it’s only gotten serious recently. I think its worsening might have to do with my intending regarding the apartment. One of the issues the apartment has is poor sound isolation from the hall and the neighbors. I have been intending great sound isolation and peace for some time now, and now the serious problem I mentioned at the beginning has gotten to the point that it drives me nuts. The serious problem I’m mentioning is some sort of sounds coming from somewhere inside the building. It really sounds like it’s a bird making those sounds. I’ve confirmed that the sound isn’t coming from outside the building, but from the inside. So far, no-one seems to be raising a pet bird in their apartment. Last night this sound kept popping up during my visualization session, and during my sleep. It’s overbearing.
I think it’s very possible that this sound occurrence (and annoyance) has gotten more serious with my intending of a peaceful apartment. It’s directly conflicting my vision of a peaceful apartment. I have checked several things, and I’m going to check some other things too, to try to find what is making the sound, and how to eliminate it.
In case I don’t get to resolve the situation, what should I do? I guess that, based on the tension and surrender, I should let the sound be, let my anger and other negative feelings produced by the sound be, and keep choosing a peaceful apartment? Would that make the sound go away? Also, I know that this is kind of a problem-oriented intending, however I’m doing my best to approach it as creating a peaceful apartment and enjoyment in it, rather than eliminating an annoying sound. The problem is serious though, as the sounds are disabling my studying, my intending, and even my sleep.
What should I do? How do I approach this? A year ago, back at my parents’ home, there was a neighbors’ dog that kept barking a lot, even during the night, and would interfere with my studying and sleep. I kind of feel that these 2 problems might be connected, since they are very similar. They bring up a lot of powerlessness inside of me, and they are both audio type of problems. Annoying repetitive sounds.
Should I just endure it and keep choosing a peaceful apartment? Would that help? A part of me is doubting that that would help, but I’m sure you see the bigger picture. If I keep releasing and choosing a peaceful apartment, would that make the sound finally go away?
Hi Z,
How loud is the sound? I’m not quite understanding how it is so disabling. I know I’ve had some annoying sounds in my house before, and I found them more amusing than anything. I guess each person’s tolerance is different.
One time when I was a child, we somehow got a cricket stuck in the house. I think it was in the couch or something. All day long, it would be chirping away. That got pretty annoying, but not extremely so. We had to wait until it died for the sound to stop, because we didn’t know how to get it out.
i guess I’m saying, can you have a lighter attitude about this? Like, “Huh, that’s annoying. Oh well, I’m sure it’ll go away eventually.”
You are definitely problem oriented on this. I think you’re more focused on getting rid of the annoyance than creating a peaceful environment. And, as you know, that won’t work.
The best thing to do is to reframe your attitude of the “problem”, and then turn your attention to creating what you want.

Also, I had chosen to manifest the money for the Art of Reality Creation until the end of this week, but it didn’t happen. There was only that small mount of unexpected money received the day after I started intending this goal, but since then, no synchronicities at all, and also no manifestation.
Also, remember my last month’s monthly goal? I had chosen to work on it again and manifest it by the end of this week, as well. However, it didn’t happen.
Also I intended to ace yesterday’s exam. Let’s just say I’ll be lucky if I manage to even get a positive grade.
I guess I’m gonna continue working on the first 2 mentioned goals, although this time without a time limit. Though I have to say, how sad it is that I couldn’t manifest any of these 3 goals. I was doing things properly this time, but it has amounted to nothing. I should be a powerful creator, but I can’t do a thing. I couldn’t even manifest something that was quite believable to me. Either your techniques are useless for me, or I am useless as a deliberate creator.
I guess I’m gonna go chill with some music now… I’d love to see if anyone has managed to manifest something in the meantime.
Hi Z,
Last time you asked, several people told you about their manifestations, if I recall.
How do you feel when you say “I want to manifest this by the end of this week”? Because, that feeling is extremely important. I suspect there may be a bug in your approach somewhere.
And it’s proven to me by you being discouraged by not manifesting them. So it hasn’t come yet: just keep moving towards that goal. Acknowledge the success you had, instead of obsessing about the failure. Look at the progress you have made.
Each failure to manifest something makes me believe less in myself and my ability to create the life I want. I was sure I was gonna manifest these things, and neither of these goals was problem-oriented, they were all an attempt of a beautiful creation. I appreciate all your help to me (a tremendous amount of help), but it really sucks that all that help was in vain.
I could post positive comments in here all I want, and understand everything you write, but until and unless I actually manifest something, I’m just deluding myself. I guess I’m gonna take a break from intending tonight, and just rest. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to think more clearly.
I understand.
But I can only help you debug what happened if you answer my questions and let me know what happened. That’s why I asked how you felt when you said you were going to manifest this by the end of the week.
In NLP we have a saying: there is no such thing as failure, only feedback. But you’re allowing these “failures” to get to you, instead of letting them show you where you went wrong and how to adjust.
For a very long time, I got very few results with the law of attraction. Well, I got the bare minimum, but nothing more.
However, I had enough success here and there to realize there was something to the law of attraction, but I was just barking up the wrong tree. It took time to really fine tune my manifesting ability and to understand how this all works.
It’s normal to have setbacks in the beginning. But you’re allowing that to discourage you, which only manifests more setbacks.

I’ve come to a conclusion that the only way to release pain is to give it space. With strong or severe pain, creating that space is near impossible on one’s own. Doing the same thing over and over and getting nowhere just isn’t smart. It’s very stupid.
I think mild or moderate pain can be released with NLP or Gendlin Focussing, but not stronger stuff. I need a process which is 100 times more powerful. Perhaps drugs … I don’t know.
The human mind is clearly and undeniably designed to hold onto strong pain. This is because nature’s sole directive is survival of the species. Nature doesn’t care if we suffer, so long as we survive and reproduce. It’s an uncaring and overbearing force for survival. What’s needed is a way to outsmart nature.
I agree about giving it space.
Honestly, there’s not much you can do for intense pain, besides pain killers, or even hypnosis. I’ve heard of really good results using hypnotherapy.
But in the moments of lucidity and clarity, you can intend for health.

Sorry for another question, Brandon! Do you have any advice on either postponing or minimizing a desire when you are already focusing on 2-3 next level goals?
There is a summer trip I want to take. It really excites me because it’s to a part of the world I’ve never visited, but would really love to go to. The desire is quite fresh and full of passion! I feel that it would be a really fun and fascinating trip, but it’s definitely not current level for me, as I can’t see exactly how I’d get there (time wise, financially, logistically, etc.) Of course there are many ways it could happen, but I’m afraid that focusing on it would take power away from my next level goals. How can I minimize this desire so that my focus from my goals doesn’t weaken? Furthermore, how should we handle desiring many things at once (e.g. a few bigger things, like new home, job or relationship, but also smaller, yet not totally affordable, things such as an expensive clothing item, travel, etc.)
Hi R,
Honestly you’ll just have to prioritize. You have to decide which goals are the most important to you, and how many you can handle at once.
There are ways you can minimize a desire, sort of, using NLP, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it. The strength of a desire is very important for the law of attraction, so I wouldn’t mess with that.

Just stumbled across this post and have really enjoyed it! I have a couple of those big ultimate goals and it can get quite frustrating not knowing how to achieve them or if I will ever achieve them at all. I can be quite impatient and want to see results quickly. Lately, I have been practicing “surrender”. Just allowing myself to go with the flow of life and to be more present. This has helped me to feel more relaxed and to trust in the universe. Trust that things will work out. I have a few things that I feel like acting upon and they feel like next level goals to me…not impossible , but not that easy either. So, having read your post has given me a bit of clarity on what to do. I intend to act on the things I know I can at the moment even though they make me feel a tad uncomfortable… And then I will watch it hopefully all unfold. ???
Hi Gee,
Thanks so much for your comment. I’m glad that this post resonated with you.
Yes, impatience is a hard one to deal with. You’re right to surrender and just work on trusting in the Universe.
The funny thing about impatience is that once you drop it, things will happen a lot more quickly. I rarely have to wait more than a few days to start seeing the results of my intentions. Not necessarily the complete manifestation, but it’ll be obvious that things are moving in that direction.
So this shouldn’t be a matter of months or years. If you’re aligned, it doesn’t even have to be weeks, before you start seeing evidence of your manifestation.
Hi Brandon, thanks for your response. I think my impatience comes from the fact that I believe I am running out of time. I always feel like time is against me and that if I don’t achieve the things I want to now, then it will be too late for me as I will be old. I sometimes try to get into the mindset that oh well if it doesn’t ever happen, it’s not that big a deal.. But then am always back to feeling like , oh but I really want those things to happen… Anyway, I am super grateful to have come across your blog. Your work is wonderful. Thank you. ?
Hi Gee,
It’s okay to want these things to happen. I’m not in the camp that says you have to be detached from your goal. I believe you deserve it and should go after it with everything you have.
But you have to do it in a way that will actually work. Neediness, unfortunately, is a prime manifestation killer. You have to let up on that a bit, and confidently decide that you will achieve your goal.
