I recently discussed how to get answers from the Universe. However, I know that speaking to the Universe in this way might be something that’s quite new to people. You might be used to prayer itself, but how often have you prayed, and never actually gotten answers?
Yet, if you learn how to really communicate with the Universe, you can get answers in a matter of hours, or days at the most. I’ve tried it myself, with near 100% success, and I’ve taught this method to clients, who have also had success using it.
It just requires a bit of a shift in paradigm. But, once you take on the new perspective, then the Universe will feel closer than your best friend. You’ll have the confidence that you can put forth any request, and receive the response in a very short amount of time.
What Is a Request?
First, what exactly do I mean by a request?
Well, I’m leaving it purposely vague, because it could mean literally anything.
A request is anything you send out to the Universe, hoping to get some response. A manifestation is a request, because you’re putting your intention out there, and desiring a response from the Universe.
But it goes so much further than just physical manifestations.
Just yesterday, we were at a wedding reception. I was getting tired and wanted to get home, but because Christine and I are both visually impaired, we had to rely on someone else to take us home. I put out the request, and within a few minutes, we easily found someone who was about to leave and was willing to take us.
Christine was surprised at my confidence, as I told her we’d be leaving soon. But, I know from experience that all requests are answered.
Sometimes I don’t know what post to write next for the blog, so I will put a request out there, and get a great idea within a day or so, or sometimes almost instantly.
Quite often, I will desire clarity on some point of the law of attraction. So, I will simply ask. Within a couple of days, I’ll just happen to read an article that will answer my question. Other times, a thought will simply occur to me that fits into place perfectly.
My favorite thing to do is to ask for a good dinner option. Sometimes I can’t think of anything that sounds good. So I’ll think, “I intend to find the best dinner option for me.” And, before it’s time for dinner, I’ll think of something I hadn’t previously considered.
A client of mine, to whom I had taught the technique you’ll learn in this post, asked the Universe to show her whether to take on a certain task or not. She expected to be paid for it, but also had to spend a small amount of money to get the resources she’d need to carry it out.
She reported to me later that she had a dream that very night, where she was buying what she needed for the project. She took that as her sign, and went forward with it.
There’s honestly no limit to this. Any question is a suitable request. The Universe doesn’t have limited time or resources.
All Requests Are Answered
I think that through the practice of prayer, we’ve gotten used to the idea that the Universe may or may not answer.
However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. In my experience, the Universe always answers, often in the most unexpected of ways.
So the first thing to look at is, are you expecting the answer? Or, are you simply asking with the vague hope that an answer might come sooner or later?
I’ve been reading the book, Happiness is Free: And It’s Easier Than You Think, by Hale Dwoskin, and in the book there was this great quote from Lester Levenson:
It takes more than faith. It takes knowledge. You start with faith, but you must convert it to knowledge. You must test it out, and then you know it. (Session 3)
You must have faith that the answer will come. In time and experience, you will have knowledge, and that knowledge will enable you to get your answers even faster.
But for now, be open to the idea that all requests are answered. The Universe is not personal, able to reject some particular request for being beneath its notice. Nothing is too small or insignificant for the Universe.
I consider it our birthright. We are intimately connected with the Universe, but too many of us don’t take advantage of this connection to truly live life to the fullest. It’s like having access to a powerful supercomputer 24 hours a day, but only ever using it to browse the web. It could do so much more.
And similarly, you could do so much more with the resources available to you. Are you living life disconnected from your universal connection? Are you making all your decisions on the surface, without consulting the Universe to see the best path ahead? Are you stumbling into life as one blind, or are you creating your life moment-by-moment, by choosing what intentions you put out there?
The Universal Search Engine
I think a good analogy is a search engine.
When you type something into Google, you don’t wonder whether your search query is worth Google’s time. That’d be silly, because Google has thousands of servers all dedicated to finding the best results matching your query. That’s literally what Google was designed to do. No matter what you search for, it’s going to put forth the same effort to bring you back the results you’re looking for.
Actually, maybe not all people realize this. 🙂
When you search Google, you expect to get an answer every time. You don’t hope you’ll get an answer, or wonder when it will come. You type your query, hit “Search”, and wait for the results.
And you realize that if the results aren’t quite what you wanted, it’s not Google’s fault. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t want to answer you. It simply means that you didn’t enter the proper search criteria.
Seeing the Universe in this way can help to demystify the process a bit. It’s not complicated, or even esoteric, in the least. It should be a normal part of everyday life.
Yet, if you went back just a few decades, people would think you were crazy if you said you could find anything in just a few seconds of searching. It just wasn’t part of reality at that time.
So, if you have any disbelief about this whatsoever, consider it in the same way. This Universal search engine hasn’t been part of your reality yet. But, just as there are technological advances, so there can be spiritual advances. In truth, the search engine has been waiting for you to use it, so all you need to do is to enter your query and send it out.
How to Search
Now, how do you actually use the Universal search engine?
Well, if you’re at all familiar with my writing, you’re likely not going to be very surprised by the process. It’s really no different than my usual manifestation process. But, in my opinion, it is faster, because we run into very little resistance with most requests.
Just as Google brings you back results that match your search query, so the Universe will bring you back results that match your vibration.
And this is where things get a bit tricky. Usually when people ask a question of God, they deeply feel the lack of their answer. And truthfully, this is why most prayers aren’t answered. When you hold the question state, you cannot receive the answer, because it exists at a different vibrational level than the question.
Really, the Universal search engine is always at work, bringing you the best results that match the vibration you hold. If you hold “lack of money”, it happily brings results that match “lack of money”.
Look around at your life, and see what kind of search queries you’ve been sending out there.
Perhaps you want to change some of them? That is okay. Having awareness of your unintentional intentions, as it were, is the first step to changing them.
Are You in the Answer State?
What you must realize is that there are two general states, when it comes to these requests:
- The question state
- The answer state
This is like the difference between wanting and having that I’ve discussed previously.
When you are in the question state, you can only get more of that question. You are not in a place to receive the answer.
Only if you are in the answer state can you possibly receive an answer.
So, if you’ve been asking your question, entering your search query as it were, and not getting an answer, the only reason could possibly be that you’re simply not in the answer state.
Let’s take a very simple request. Remember that this applies for any request or manifestation. Let’s say you are looking for a job, and have two possible openings. So you ask, “Should I take job A or job B?”
Now, notice that immediately when you ask this question, you feel the lack of the answer. You are aware that you don’t know the answer yet.
This is the question state. As long as you remain in the question state, you can only ever notice the lack of the answer.
To get your answer, you must immediately switch to the answer state.
How do you do this? Simply by feeling what it would feel like to have the answer.
Remember the Universe operates largely by emotions. So, even though you don’t know the answer yet, you know the feeling of having that answer.
Simply ask your question, then enter the answer state for a few seconds. Even just 5 or 10 seconds of the pure state of having the answer will be sufficient.
Then, let it go.
Every time you think of it again, just switch back to the answer state. Never allow yourself to worry about it or obsess about it, as this just brings you into the question state again. To the best of your ability, just remain in the answer state whenever this topic arises.
If there is resistance to the answer, you’ll have to release it using any of the methods I’ve discussed, including radical acceptance, The Sedona Method®, or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
However, when you do it in this very general way, without trying to visualize the answer, but just feeling the having of it, most resistance is circumvented pretty easily.
Receiving the Answer
Then, just wait for it to come. Don’t think about it obsessively, but just allow the Universal search engine to bring back the results of your search in its own time.
It won’t take long, if you were able to enter the answer state purely, without resistance. I’ve never had a request take longer than a few days.
Just remain effortlessly open to the answer, and it will come.
It will generally come in a way that you can’t miss. It may be an intuitive feeling that is unmistakable. It may come through a conversation you have with someone else. It may come through something you read. Or, circumstances may simply change to make the answer obvious.
Don’t question yourself once you do receive the answer. Don’t worry about whether this is actually the answer or not. Usually the Universe makes it pretty clear, so there’s no doubt about it.
If you do worry, then just enter back into the answer state. Either the current answer will get stronger, in which case you know that it was the right one, or the real answer will arise in a stronger way than what you believed to be the answer.
Just try to let go of any wanting to figure it out, or move this process along. Once you enter the answer state, your part in all this is done. Now it is up to the Universe to answer your request. Let it do its job.
The Possibilities Are Endless
As I’ve already said, the possibilities are endless. You are now plugged in to the most powerful search engine out there. Before now, you’ve not realized all the ways you could use it. But now, hopefully you have a better idea of the power of this Universal search engine.
You are not meant to live a disconnected life. The answers to all your questions are out there. The only reason you don’t have those answers is that you haven’t submitted the right search query yet, and then entered the answer state, in order to receive the proper results.
Try to play around with this technique, much as a child would. Let yourself open to the infinite possibilities offered by such a power.
Then, for any request that comes to mind, just ask your question and enter the answer state.
In the beginning, I recommend only asking one or two questions at a time. Trying to keep it all straight can take a lot of energy, and especially so when you’re not quite confident with this technique yet.
But in time, you’ll be using it all day, every day.
Here are some of the possible use cases:
- Do you want to have a productive day? Intend a productive day, then enter the answer state.
- Do you want to make a lot of sales at work today? Intend such, then enter the answer state.
- Do you need the money to pay a particular bill? Intend it, and enter the answer state.
- Do you want to know the best action to take towards your goal? Intend it, and enter the answer state.
- Do you want your commute to be easy? Intend it, and enter the answer state.
- Do you want to have fun this weekend, but don’t know what to do? Intend it, and enter the answer state.
- Do you want to get better at Chess? (My current intention.) Intend it, and enter the answer state.
You get the point. No matter the area of life, no matter how big or how small the intention, this simple process will work for anything. Try it out for yourself.
How About You?
Now it’s your turn. Have you tried this technique out? What were your results? Let me know your questions and comments below.

It makes no sense whatsoever that you’d say all this stuff about requests being answered and then casually mention that you have vision impairment…. as if we wouldn’t notice??? Surely you asked to have that fixed – what happened? Universe said “nahhh, sorry, no response this time”….?
The universe sends you a car to pick you up in a moment’s notice, but doesn’t give you what you really want? Are you serious with this???? Do you think you’re talking to imbeciles?
Hey CJ,
Yes, I am serious. 🙂
First of all, I consider my visual impairment to be a blessing. It’s given me a lot in life that I believe I wouldn’t have had otherwise. That includes, more sensitivity to energy and other spiritual matters, more appreciation for my other senses, etc. I’m a pianist, because I have such an appreciation for music.
You might not believe me, and that’s okay, but I don’t care if my sight is restored or not. I am fine with the way I am, and I believe there is some purpose to having the visual impairment. Whether that’s to inspire others, or something else I’m not aware of, I’m not sure. But it’s definitely helped me to trust in the Universe more.
Would I be open to it being restored one day? Obviously so. But I’ve been this way since the age of 4, so it’s just life. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.
I do also believe that if I chose, I could manifest my vision being restored. But what need is there? As you said above, if I can manifest doing everything I need to do in life, which I’ve proven to myself over and over again, then what’s the need?
Not all who are blind want to be sighted. I’m, at best, ambivalent. Hopefully that makes sense.
Thanks for your comment, though, as it brings up an important point that I’m happy to clarify.
Hi Brandon, nicely measured response. Have you read any of Doctor Oliver Sachs books. He is a neurologist/psychologist and writes about perception and the psychological effects of physical/neurological ‘disorders’. Lots of fascinating case histories, and he writes very entertainingly. ‘Hallucinations’ is a fascinating read. I was reading, (not sure if it was in that book, he has written quite a few) about several blind people who have developed their own ‘echo-location’ system. They navigate the physical world extremely well using clicking noises and making sense of the ‘echoes’. To such a successful extent that one blind guy was happily mending his guttering and fixing his roof, at night. Obviously being at night made no difference to him! The neighbours were freaked out though.
Hey Jon,
No, I haven’t heard of him, but that sounds fascinating.
I’ve heard of echolocation. I have a form of that without doing the clicking. I used to be able to walk around in high school, knowing exactly when I had to turn down a hallway, just by the sounds around me. I used to test myself all the time.
One time Christine and I were out walking in the evening. She has some vision, while I have none. Anyway, with my sense, I could tell there was a parked car we were quickly approaching. I said something about it, even though I expected she’d have seen it. Well, she hadn’t seen it, lol, and we avoided running into it.
Thanks for your comment 🙂
Thanks for the reply and sorry for my aggressive tone.
I was enjoying reading through your blog, but when I came across the part about vision impairment it really infuriated me. I just feel like it’s too easy to say “it’s not a problem” about an impairment which clearly makes you clearly xdependent on others. You’re dependent on others for something as basic as your transport. How could that not be a problem, and yet it is a problem to wait around for a cab? It’s defies all logic.
I’m very interested in LoA, and have studied it for a long time. I find most of your work here to be well written and useful. But I need people to be honest about their real feelings. Wouldn’t it be better to say “I would like my vision improved, but I haven’t yet developed enough faith?”… or “I would like my vision improved but I’m afraid that if that happens then x would happen”..?
I guess I felt disappointed because most of what I’d read was high quality and this seemed like self-deception.
Hey CJ,
No, because then I’d be lying.
It’s honestly not self-deception. I have no way of proving that to you, of course. But, you’ll have to take my word that there are many blind people who are perfectly happy as they are.
Of course, some do want to have their vision restored and actively seek that. But, that’s not me.
All I can suggest to you is that you don’t assume the feelings of another, unless you can walk in their shoes. Otherwise, you are simply guessing, and projecting your own biases onto the situation.
I will answer, though, your bit about being dependent.
Honestly, we are all dependent to one degree or another. Some people don’t like to admit this, because it’s a blow to their ego. But, it’s true. Perhaps I’m dependent in certain ways that sighted people often are not. But then, others are dependent in ways that I am not.
I have better direction than Christine, even though she has more vision. We just recently spent the night at a hotel to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. In navigating the hotel, such as to get to the pool, or to the restaurant, I was the one giving directions, because I always have the place mapped out in my head after being shown the layout.
Another example: I often get requests to help with some bit of technology, often from my mother. I’ve been a programmer since I was 11, so computers are second nature to me.
I’ve taught sighted people how to make websites, since I’ve also been doing that for years.
Anyway the list goes on, but I won’t bore you with the details. 🙂
The point is, we’re all dependent to one degree or another. Mine just happens to be more obvious in certain ways. But, again, it’s also forced me to trust in the Universe, and I’ve never, ever been disappointed. It always sends exactly what I need, when I need it.
Anyway, I hope this clarifies things. Hopefully you can take me at my word. I’m not the self-deceitful type, at all. I pride myself on being open and honest on this site.
Hi, CJ. I used to wonder the same about Melody. When I just found her, I saw her early videos, where she was slim, and also read her posts where she wrote how she wanted to lose weight for so long, and finally did. I started wondering why she got her weight back. Did something come up that caused that, which she didn’t have a solution to, yet? Or did she do it with a purpose? I sent her an e-mail asking her about it. I didn’t get a reply, but within a few days, I was inspired to randomly read one of her end-of-the-year posts, where she mentioned how she had been having insights into how her weight is helpful to her, when she is working with a lot of energy, because it helps her ground herself.
Also, in one video, Abraham mentioned how some people asked about why Esther doesn’t have an “ideal body” or something like that, since she is very good at LOA. Abraham mentioned how her current body appearance/state is perfect for her. There isn’t one body type perfect for everyone, we just tend to think that there is, because the media and what not are dictating something. I guess it’s the same with being visually impaired, even though that’s harder to comprehend for us, who have normal vision.
That’s a great point, Z.
I was just talking to Christine about this last night, in response to CJ’s comments. I said that I feel as though it helps me to not take the world so seriously. I can have one foot in the world and the other in the spiritual, if you will. I’ve been able to “see” spirits from a very young age, and I think this is one of the reasons.
Not taking the world seriously is essential for the law of attraction, too. The “real” reality is within ourselves. Outer reality just reflects that back.
Of course I have my desires, like anyone else, and some of those desires are difficult to detach from. But, these difficult desires give me the inspiration to develop the techniques I have, which I’ve shared on this site and through my coaching.
But, vision is just not one of those desires. 🙂
Thanks as always for your insightful comments.
Hi CJ,
This is Christine, Brandon’s wife. I normally don’t chime in, but felt the need to here. I totally understand where you are coming from. I grew up a Christian, and very differently from Brandon. I grew up believing in healing, people praying for me for that, etc. So I am a believer in that also. Please excuse the more Christian lens I am using, but it is just easier for me this way.
Anyway, I used to think the way you do: that people are hiding things and truly want healing. How could they not? Isn’t that why we are here? You have brandon saying you can get anything you want, and here he does nothing about his blindness. Well, he has absolutely no desire, and he has no bitterness or hidden resentment or anything like that. in fact, I think he forgets he is blind sometimes. I know I do and he helps me more than I help him most of the time.
I could never understand someone like him because I do want my vision restored and I am working on that. However, that is in my path. I don’t know if you believe in reincarnation, but perhaps Brandon never experienced blindness and wants to? See, we all must grow on all walks of life. Now, I’m pretty sure if he had some serious health scare, he would want healing. But his blindness? THey’re just eyes after all. It’s not like he’s dying or anything. For me, I am on another path and the flow is taking me elsewhere. If you believe in following wherever the universal flow takes you, you are always led by some higher force and you are always guided. So your desires are always in line with the Universe, and if you don’t have resistance, the universal flow takes you right where you need to be.
The most important growth we could ever have is spiritual growth/healing. The rest of it is secondary. I hope this helps, and I truly appreciate your comments because they are a great reminder to remember the important things. We are all in this together.
Sorry, I missed this post the other day and thanks for your reply.
I agree I have no basis for doubting someone else’s feelings, and it was probably rude to do so. On the other hand, we humans are masters of denial – I see people doing it all the time, so I’m very sensitive to it. I just wanted to see what sort of response I’d get if I questioned it.
It makes no sense whatsoever that you’d say all this stuff about requests being answered and then casually mention that you have vision impairment…. as if we wouldn’t notice??? Surely you asked to have that fixed – what happened? Universe said “nahhh, sorry, no response this time”….?

CJ,
Thank you for your quest for answers. I am a friend of Brandon’s and learn so much from his teachings.
I have a question for you. Do you see Brandon’s blindness as a problem for him, or for you?
I don’t want to seem confrontational in any way by that question. Let me explain.
Brandon has been blind since he was four years old. It WAS a problem for him in the beginning. He worked through it and accepted it and “just let it be what it is”, as we learn in LOA. That the Universe has a purpose for it. And as he said above, allowed it to let him “see” better than most sighted people.
As for him relying on others for assistance, that is the trade off, so to speak. We work, play, live with things that may seem a problem to others, but they work FOR US. Each person has their own path. Brandon’s just happens to be that of a visually impaired person.
For you, it may be a bad back, or arthritis in your knees, or migraines. Whatever is your “limitation” that causes delays for you. They are only a problem if you allow them that much power.
Brandon has turned his “problem” into an advantage that we may not always see as such. Yes, he relies on others for assistance. But, don’t we all use others and things to assist us in one way or another?
Don’t we use an umbrella when it’s raining? Crutches if we have a broken leg? A friend to help us move into a new place?
I hope this helps.
I accept that Brandon might not have any desire at all for normal sight. So the rest of this post is not directed towards him. As he says, I can’t know what he’s feeling.
I see a lot of people talk about LoA nowadays. Their personal account is that they can get a car park at the shopping mall using LoA, and yet they can’t lose weight, they can’t make a million dollars, and they can’t find a partner. When you ask them “why don’t you use LoA for the things you REALLY want instead of a damned car space?”, the answer is all about how the universe has a purpose for their obesity or their poverty or their inability to attract a long term partner. That sort of self-deception is absolutely INFURIATING to me.
Why??
Because I actually suspect that the LoA is a real phenomenon. And to write off personal failures of faith as “I didn’t want it anyway” or “the universe has a reason for it” is extremely damaging. People read it and think “ohh,… I thought it LoA was real, but I see it’s just some flim-flam and you can’t actually get the things you really need, like money, relationships, jobs, a house etc. All you get is a stupid car park that was available anyway”.
I hear people say that they manifested a new car, for example. In reality they got on the net and went through the for sale pages and found it themselves. *REAL* LoA would be intending to acquire a new car and hours later over-hearing a stranger mention that they want to sell their car, that it’s the exact model and color you want, and the price is fantastic. THAT is LoA, not trawling through countless for sale websites and doing it yourself.
I like Melody and wouldn’t want to hurt her feelings asking about her weight or relationship status, but I expect the things she really, REALLY wants are out of reach. So what’s going there? The LoA is far too important a theory to just treat it like some sort of play thing that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Not good enough. Not even close. Ideally, LoA would be investigated scientifically.
Hey CJ,
I actually agree with you here. I do know that Melody wants to lose weight, from the posts she’s made in the past. But we all have our weak points, our places where resistance is severe.
I agree that people shouldn’t deceive themselves. If you want it, you want it. Again, visual impairment is not that for me, but I definitely have other desires I have manifested, or am in the process of manifesting, that aren’t just meaningless small manifestations.
I mentioned on the call last night I’ve manifested an AppleTV, which I have been wanting for a while. I also manifested the opportunity for Christine and me to get away to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Her step mother ended up paying for that for us, and yes, without us asking. Everything just fell into place.
I also believe that LOA should be used for everything, and should be effortless. If you want something and haven’t gotten it, then admit that there’s resistance and work on that.
I use my own life as my own testing grounds, so to speak. That’s why I share the techniques I do, because they’ve worked for me.
Hopefully you see that I fully believe in the LOA, and intend to show how to use it for more than just parking spaces. It’s my life. I don’t share most of my manifestations, unless they would demonstrate a good point.
I do understand where you’re coming from now, though. But once again, trust me when I say that if I have resistance to something, I’ll be the first to admit it. I’m very aware of where I have work to do, and am actively doing that work to release resistance.
Visual impairment is just not that for me. I’m happy to focus on other big issues, though. 🙂
Health is a big one for me. I want to lose weight, and admit I, too, have many limiting beliefs around this area. I haven’t touched the topic here because I’m just not in a place to speak on it with any sort of authority.
Money is a place I used to have a lot of issues. In the past year, I’ve made huge breakthroughs with it. Now money is pretty easy overall. There’s still resistance in certain areas, but I also see where I’ve made huge progress.
Relationships are easy. I’ve been married for 5 years, and am very happy in my marriage. I’ve spoken about this one at length.
I recommend doing the same for yourself, not only you CJ, but everyone reading. Take each manifestation, or general area of life you want to improve, and consider how well this area is in alignment with your vision for it. Choose one to work on, and do the work. As you say, don’t make excuses for why it’s not how you want it to be yet.
We’re all growing, and I’m happy to shine a light on my own path to help others.
Thanks Brandon. It’s important for me (one whose faith is fragile) to hear words such as “LoA is a real phenomenon, even though I myself might not be expert at applying it in certain areas of life”. The world’s top golf coaches usually play a very good game, but they would come a distant second to those they coach. I struggled with this concept for a long time, but I’m comfortable with it now. The top golfers usually can’t teach, for starters.
Thanks CJ.
I definitely know what you mean. I try to ensure I have a fair bit of expertise in the area I’m talking about, but obviously we’re all growing.
The law of attraction is definitely a real phenomenon. I used to be skeptical as well, until I was put in a situation where I had no choice but to trust. Money at the time was insanely tight, to the point there was no way I could pay the bills. I put the LOA to the test, and it worked out wonderfully.
Since then I’ve seen it work countless times. Sometimes it’s unbelievable that there really is a universal law that works in this way, but there clearly is.
This stuff is real. There’s just a lot of hype around it. I try to remove the hype to the best of my ability. I think people should have the truth as it is.
I am holding a free teleclass this Saturday, in case you’re interested in checking it out. You can learn more information about that here. It’ll give you a chance to learn more and ask any questions you might have. No obligation, just letting you know of the offer. 🙂
Don’t hesitate to ask those questions to Melody (or Brandon, or any other LOA teacher). I expect them to be able to “handle” anything they receive. After all, they are conscious of the fact that if they are triggered, it’s their stuff for them to deal with, and they know how to do it. I think that Melody either wouldn’t be triggered by such questions, or she would, but she’d easily release it. She’s a master at it (or so she claims), so yeah ask her anything you want, no matter how much you think it might be embarrassing to her, or could hurt her. I’d like to hear her answer some of those things in her videos, too. 🙂
Brandon, I think it’s incredible how you and Christine, both visually impaired, can function so well (at least that’s the impression I’ve got). At first it can be really difficult to understand that it really IS possible. Also you reply so fast and manage the calls and the internet so well, at first I wondered, “wait, is he REALLY visually impaired, or is he faking it?” haha
This is a great example of how things are shifting from being perceived impossible to possible.
Another good thing I keep in mind is what empaths are showing us. They can take on feelings that don’t belong to them. They are not them. I guess their role in this world is to help us realize that feelings are not us. We can experience them, but they are not our identity.
Well, with that said, I’d still like it if we could have our resistance sucked out of us, fast, easily, and painlessly, than have to put all the effort into retraining ourselves into what we used to unconsciously do as children, release.
Hey Z,
Thanks for your comment. 🙂
Yeah, I’ve had people outright think I was lying before. People don’t understand really what resources are available today. I’ve been using a computer since I was 9, so I’ve gotten pretty proficient with it. 🙂
I definitely know what you mean about empaths. I’m an empath myself, and that can be difficult.
Trust me, I often wish I could say a single word and just remove the resistance from my clients. Unfortunately I think the Universe wants us to walk this path ourselves, even if with some help. But, There are no shortcuts here. There are ways of making it easier, but no shortcuts.
Though, I do recommend listening to last night’s support call once I post it up. I did demonstrate a method that is very direct and precise. I think you’ll enjoy it. 🙂
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Just posted it up.

This post was really clear and helpful. I like how you sum up the technique and show how quick and easy it can be. I wondered, though, can resistance about other topics mess up the answers you get for a particular topic? I asked the universe about a particular topic, and I don’t sense any resistance in me about that topic, but I haven’t gotten an answer yet. (It’s not like it’s a terribly big deal or that I am worried about not getting an answer; I’m just curious why it didn’t come.) I wondered if maybe I had resistance about something else that was interfering. Is this possible?
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your comment. 🙂
Your subconscious will always let you know if you have resistance. It will never just hide from you.
I would explore this curiosity of why it’s not here yet. See if you’re being fully honest with yourself and really completely detached from the outcome. Sometimes LOA practitioners feel the need to pretend everything’s okay, when it’s really not. Not saying that’s the case with you, just suggesting possibilities.
Also, I generally like to enter the answer state on my question/goal at least once or twice a day. Really let yourself bask in it. It doesn’t have to be a long time, as I said; just long enough that you get a feel for it. But even now, as you are reminded that it’s not here yet, be sure you are in the answer state of it. The more you wonder why it’s not here, the more you are likely in the question state, and so the more likely it won’t come.
I did clarify the answer state in last night’s support call, so you may want to check that out. It’s about an hour into the recording I believe.
To summarize, if the answer hasn’t come after several days, then these are the likely reasons: either (1) you have resistance you’re not admitting to yourself, or (2) when you think about the topic, you are in the question state, wondering where it is and such. Every time you think about it, you should be sure to enter a very gentle state of having and knowing. It should feel very light and effortless.

I wanted to share a really great piece of news that resulted from Brandon’s excellent rendering/point of view of how the Universe really works to give us what we desire. It’s real. I have been in a dark place and am coming out of it and making a shift. Subtle, but it’s happening. I had not been able to manifest much and a lot of it was by default. After I read the blog, I decided to start small and as Brandon says in the article, just play around with it and see what comes up. A great way to start. Baby steps.
So I asked the Universe for $10. It felt right for me and though it sounds like nothing to most people, for me it represented the ability to go to a movie or buy lots of food for my cat or even subscribe to at least one month of Netflix streaming TV. But I didn’t specify in my question the form the amount would take (i.e. cash, check, money order, discount, gift, etc.). Just $10.
I, who tend to resist a lot and have just started the radical acceptance process and do tapping, tried out the question and waited a few hours to see if any resistant feelings were coming up. Nothing. I was easily able to switch over to the answer phase, get a small feeling of pleasure and accomplishment for being able to receive this. It felt almost neutral and I didn’t think of it much after that.
Last night, which was two days after I asked the Universe, I attended a gathering of women in a newly-formed meetup group and was feeling comfortable and relaxed. There was a teacher there, who I had met in a previous meetup in the spring of this year who at the time said she wanted to write and publish a book about fear. In a fairly recent Facebook post on the meetup group page she announced it was done and on Amazon. I wrote a comment and congratulated her. But since I couldn’t afford it, I forgot about it with a twinge of regret. At last night’s meetup, she had brought a pile of them with her to sell to the members, most of whom were on the same journey and would like the book. As I watched one of the women casually hand her the money, I felt that twinge again, but barely any resistance and continued my conversation I was having with someone.
Later, as I was leaving she came up to me, enveloped me in a hug (I barely know her) and handed me the book and whispered to me, “Take it and then share it.” When I told her I couldn’t pay for it, she smiled and turned away. I was totally taken by surprise and guess how much the book cost? Yes, $10!
For the first time in so long, I actually made an intention and received exactly what I asked for only two days later in the form of a book selling at the same amount I had set my intention for. The Universe heard. But make sure after you allow that you are clear and ready to receive. Thank you so much, Brandon. Your guidance has given me the some hope and faith that I lacked and enabled me to get into this with so little effort. I’m feeling that I might really have crossed the starting line. Am planning my next question tonight before bed, but still taking it slow for now. But once I know it’s time, i’m definitely taking my requests to the next level!
Frann,
Thanks so much for your beautiful experience! I’m so happy for you that things worked out the way they did. And, I can just see the humor of the Universe behind the form in which you received your manifestation. 🙂
Good luck with your future manifestations. It sounds like you’re really getting it. 😀
Fran,
That is so awesome!! Thank you for sharing that. That little bit of encouragement helps so much.
Congratulations, Frann! 🙂
That’s a really great and inspiring story, thanks for sharing it!
Thanks, Brandon and Brenda for your replies! I realize it’s not all about “manifestations” in the sense of using the Universe’s goodness to try to “get” things and treat it as a sort of spiritual department store. I’m also interested in getting answers to deeper questions I have about all sorts of subjects, both spiritual and non, as well as getting accustomed to asking it just sort of helpful mundane things on a regular basis, like what should I have for dinner (good one, Brandon!) or is this a good time to bring up that subject I’ve been wanting to discuss with my friend, etc. It really encompasses everything in our lives inner and outer and it’s very exciting. In terms of manifestation, however, I like what Brandon said in the article about this question/answer process tending to hold less resistance to other ways of initiating manifestation.
“…it’s not all about “manifestations” in the sense of using the Universe’s goodness to try to “get” things and treat it as a sort of spiritual department store”
Says who? I think a department store is an apt description – a department store at my disposal. There’s nothing “good” about it either. What gave you the idea that the universe is “good”? The universe has rules and it will just as readily make your life hell as it will heaven.
I disagree with this.
The Universe cannot be narrowed down to some duality, but I don’t see it as wanting to make you miserable.
I’ve said this elsewhere, but every experience points to freedom.
If you have negative experiences occurring in life, it is the Universe pointing out where you are hanging on and trying to control things with ego. It’s showing you where you have attachments and aversions that you must resolve.
I think that’s quite helpful, honestly. The Universe is the best teacher, because it always shows us where we need work.
And no, it’s not just a department store. It is our path to freedom. It is the way to lasting happiness. That’s more than the temporary high of buying something meaningless at the store.
Yeh but it’s like the universe controls everything. Like we don’t count. So long as we exist as individuals we suffer. Universe says “oh you want control?.. ok you suffer”.
I guess I have to just get used to that. We can’t win. Universe controls everything. We’re completely insignificant.
That’s the ego talking. The part you’re missing is where you are the Universe. Yes, as long as you believe you’re a separate individual, and you try to control life, you’ll fail at it. But it’s only because you’re operating from a false premise, not because the Universe is trying to control you.
I know this is hard to trust if bad things are happening right now, but every time I’ve surrendered to the Universal flow, wonderful things have happened. It’s not as though we surrender and then are put through horrible experiences. That’s not part of the flow at all.
Did I get that right, about the question/answer Universe process having less resistance? Maybe I need to re-read the article.
Yes, I’d say in general that this can hold less resistance, since you’re just jumping immediately to the feeling of having the answer / goal.
I wanted to share a really great piece of news that resulted from Brandon’s excellent rendering/point of view of how the Universe really works to give us what we desire. It’s real.
Wow, I teared up when reading some of these comments. Shifts were made for sure.
The real LOA does exist and that is what I am familiar with. I do not drive myself, I rely on public transportation, but I am working on that, albeit slowly. I think there is much misinterpretation of the LOA out there and people take it the wrong way. It reminds me of the Eat, Pray, Love craze. I recently read that women are going to Europe to find that, but it is just not true. I think the premise of that book was that it is okay to be depressed at times. The point it, you get out of it on the other side and realize a thing of two. However, I think that particular author is not so reliable in that she is living another lifestyle now, but that is another story.
I think people latch onto something and think it is all the craze when the underlying premise is not known or understood well. LOA is half taught, like we have mentioned before at other points in this blog. Brandon teaches the entire scope of spirituality, encompassing many aspects, not just some of it. We have wonderful conversations in the forums section!
Maybe we are here to deal with all the resistance which will take us to freedom. I know the spiritual world is a playful one, and we do take things way too seriously. Maybe the other part is to realize this.
So true, Kat.
People want the easy way out. They want the quick fix. Many LOA teachers/authors seem to provide that for them.
But that’s not “true” LOA, if you will. Someone once suggested I should call what I do LOA 2.0, lol. But it’s just the real principle beyond all the hype.
But “true” LOA takes real spiritual development and shifts in one’s thinking.
I talked a lot about this during today’s teleclass. The recording is now available. 🙂
