I’ve been discussing my new process: the Effortless Manifestation Process.
It consists of only two steps:
- Step 1: Making peace with what is
- Step 2: Finding the vibrational essence of your manifestation
The first step is the most important of these two, because it is what helps you to release the resistance that is holding your desire away from you. If you skip this step, you’ll just get more of the same that you’ve always gotten.

Hello everyone, my name is Brandon Olivares from Co-Creation Coaching. Today I want to discuss in more detail each step of the technique for manifestation, which I talked about a couple of weeks ago. And I’ll give the link to that other video in the description here. And I also talked about it in the webinar recently, which I’ll give the link to purchase that recording, where I talked about the technique in more detail.
But I wanted to do a couple of videos to talk about each step in greater detail, because there’s so much that I can say about it. And I could go on and on about it, but I just figured it’d be easier to digest if I split it up into a couple of videos.
So today, I’m going to talk about Step 1 of that technique, and probably next week I will talk about Step 2 of that technique.
So the technique for manifestation—I’ll just recap a little bit for those who haven’t seen it, or who might not remember it very well—is basically Step 1: to make peace with where you are, and Step 2: to gently focus on the emotion of what you want. So I’ll talk about both of those steps in much, much, much more detail. There’s so much that could be said about it. But today I want to talk about Step 1.
It Takes Inner Work
So this technique is a little bit more of an advanced technique, but it’s the one that I really, really prefer, and it’s really the simplest way we can put the law of attraction, and the way that you can get, in my opinion, the fastest manifestations. And I know it’s a little bit hard sometimes, because this technique requires letting go, and that can be a little disconcerting. So this takes a lot of trust, a lot of faith in a way, but it does work. I’ve seen it over and over and over again in my life in both a positive and a negative sense, if I’m focusing on something negative. I’ve seen it repeatedly.
But when you apply this simple technique that does take a bit of practice, but once you get it, it is very simple—once you apply this simple technique, you can really create anything you want in your life. That’s how it is.
And I don’t want to promise riches, and wonderful relationships, and new cars, and houses. Certainly you can have all that if you choose to, but it’s not just a snap of the fingers and it’s done. It’s not like that.
It takes some inner work. It shouldn’t feel like work. If it feels like work, you’re really doing it too fast. But it does take some inner contemplation, and applying some steps to change your state on the inside.
So you can’t just wish for it and wave a wand and it’s there for you. And I think The Secret has sort of given that impression sometimes, and it’s not like that. You don’t just visualize and it’s there. Unless you really have zero resistance, but if you had zero resistance, you would have it already. [laugh]
The Most Important Step: Making Peace
So that’s what I want to talk about, is basically Step 1 is simply the process of removing that resistance. And both of these steps are very important, but Step 1 is absolutely vital. You cannot do Step 2 before you do Step 1.
Because if you do Step 2 and try to focus on the emotions of what you want, you’re going to have that negative resistance still very in your vibration, and clogging everything up. And you don’t want that because you’re still going to get the same mixed results you’ve always been getting, or even worse because now you’re focusing on it even more and you’re making the momentum go faster. So that’s not what you want.
So Step 1 is the most important. It is also a lot of times the one that people are the most unwilling to do. Not because it costs anything, not because it requires anything great of you, but because it requires you to basically surrender—to basically give up telling the story you’ve always told. And so, like I said, it takes some work.
There Are No Problems
So Step 1 is making peace with where you are right now. And that means not seeing this as a problem.
Let’s say you want more money. And this applies to any manifestation, and I’ll give some examples. But let’s say for instance you want some more money.
When you want more money, as long as you’re thinking that you don’t have enough, that you have the fear of how are you going to get by, how are you going to pay the bills, it’s not fair being where you are, things like that. As long as you are telling those stories and you’re feeling those things, and still you’re trying to get more money, it’s not going to work.
And this is the process of Step 1. You haven’t made peace with where you are.
Because the Universe doesn’t see problems. The Universe sees infinite potential. You came here as an infinite creative being, able to create whatever you desire.
And in a vibrational sense, the moment you desired it, it was created. You’re just trying to make room to allow that to enter into your physical reality.
But you came here as an infinite creative being, where you have no limits. You have no limits.
But we tend to want to see problems in where we are. And most of those problems are imagined. Certainly if you’re undergoing at this very present moment some kind of problem, let’s say you’re being attacked, or let’s say you didn’t have enough money to pay for something, or let’s say the electricity was shut off right this moment, then maybe you have a little more leeway to say you have a problem.
But even then, all you have is some negative momentum that’s really built up. Because you weren’t paying attention to your emotional guidance.
What Is the Emotional Guidance System?
And what I mean by emotional guidance is that any time you’re focusing on something, you have this thing within you that tells you whether you’re focusing negatively or positively.
So if you’re focusing on how little money you have, and it feels bad, that’s your emotional guidance system saying to you, “Hey look! You’re creating something you’re not going to like!”
Because whatever you focus on, whatever you think about, is what you’re going to create if you focus on it long enough.
So that’s your emotional guidance system saying, “Hey, you’re not focusing on something you’re going to like. And if you keep focusing on it, you’re not going to like it even more.” [laugh]
But if you feel good when you’re focusing on something, that’s your emotional guidance saying, “You want more of this? You’re going in the right direction! You’re going in a direction that you’re going to approve of. And the more you focus on it, the more you’re going to like it—the more you’re going to like what the Universe brings you.” Because the Universe can only ever bring you what you focus on.
So when you focus on this negative thing and you feel this negative emotion, and you ignore it, what happens is it gets bigger, and it gets bigger, and it gets bigger, and pretty soon let’s say you don’t have enough money, let’s say something was shut off, let’s say something else happens. It might be smaller or it might be bigger. The more you ignore it, the bigger it gets.
And this isn’t to scare you. It’s really just useful feedback, because it tells you, you haven’t been paying attention to your emotional guidance. And so in order to get your attention, we’re getting a lot bigger, this resistance. And now, hopefully you pay attention.
Letting Go of Resistance
So even when that has happened, even when something has just now happened that seems like a problem, it still really isn’t a problem. It still really isn’t a problem because you still have the infinite ability, the infinite potential to focus in a different direction. Maybe you can’t change gears and absolutely turn around right now and go the opposite direction, but you can turn a little bit, and you can let go a little bit of that resistance.
And even just a little bit of letting go of that resistance will help you to improve that situation. It doesn’t have to be 180°. You don’t have to completely turn it around. What you do have to do is at least slow down that negative momentum a little bit.
That’s Step 1: making peace with your situation. Seeing that there really is no problem. Seeing that anything that feels negative that happens, whether in your mind or in reality, is really not a problem. It’s really just a reminder of where you’re focusing on. You always have the chance, it’s never too late to turn that around.
So that’s what we have to do, make peace with it. And if that method works for you of just telling yourself, “Hey look, there’s no problem here. I have the option of just focusing on something else.” If you feel better by doing that, then that’s Step 1 complete.
But a lot of times that’s not enough unfortunately.
Another way of doing the same thing is distracting yourself. Have you ever been really upset and you decide to watch a funny movie, or do something else you really enjoy, some kind of hobby or something, and you feel better.
The reason for that is because you’ve taken your focus off the negative thing.
You don’t have to focus positively about that specific situation. Anything you focus positively about is great. It’s going to improve your vibration. And if you do it long enough, everything else will improve.
Abraham has this wonderful saying, where they say if you have nine things going wrong and one thing going right, if you would just focus on that one thing going right, all the other things would get better, too, if you left them alone.
So that’s the second way, is just ignoring it. But that’s hard when it’s something that’s in your reality day after day after day. Like money is a really hard thing to ignore, because sooner or later, you have to pay a bill. Sooner or later you’re going to check your bank balance. Sooner or later you’re going to go grocery shopping, or fill up your gas tank, or whatever it might be. And so you’re going to think about money, and it’s going to be picked up right where you left it, at the same vibrational level.
So if you were previously fearful about money, and you ignored it for a while, when you picked it back up, you’re still probably going to be fearful about it.
So things like that, where it’s harder to ignore, we have to do something else. And so this gets me to the technique that I recommend the most for doing Step 1.
And that is basically what I call mindfulness. If any of you have ever been involved in Buddhist meditations, you’ll be familiar with this.
Mindfulness meditation is just basically being aware of everything going on. You’re just observing it, of your thoughts, of your emotions, of your sensations, of your sensory input, what you see, what you hear, what you smell, everything.
And so mindfulness is a wonderful technique, because it takes the focus off of the negative thing. Because I explained before that whatever you focus on expands. So when you’re focusing on this negative thing, and the momentum builds, because whatever you focus on, the momentum increases, which means it gets bigger and bigger and bigger like I explained earlier—it gets harder and harder to remove your focus. But once you do remove your focus, it can slow down that momentum.
It’s like pressing down the gas pedal of a car, and it accelerates, and when your foot off the gas, eventually it’s going to run out of steam. It’ll coast for a while and it’ll stop.
And so that’s how it is. But you need a way of taking that focus off.
Mindfulness, I find, is the most effective way. Because in mindfulness, what you’re going to do is realize that all your mind is doing is telling you a story.
And it’s like how earlier I mentioned how there are really no problems. There are really no problems because you always have the ability to turn things around.
But your mind, if you’re used to focusing in a negative way, is likely going to tell you that you have a lot of problems—that you have a lot of stuff to be fearful of—that you’re not safe—that things aren’t okay—that there are huge problems that you have to fix right now.
And a lot of the eastern methodologies or spiritual paths call that the ego. I don’t like to call it the ego because it tends to set up this false dichotomy of our mind that there’s the false self, the ego, and then there’s a real Self, and you have to destroy the ego. It’s really not the case.
I just call it the subconscious mind, doing what it’s always done. You taught it to focus in a negative way over the years. And you didn’t mean to obviously, but it’s just what you did. Every time a certain subject came up, and you had the habit of thinking about that subject in a certain way, you trained your subconscious to basically protect you. That’s what it does. It automates. It automates whatever you do regularly.
And so if you show it, “Oh yeah, I worry about money,” it’ll say, “Okay! Let me worry about money for you! I’ll give you reasons to worry about money. I’ll automate that for you.” And so that’s what it does.
So I don’t like to call it ego. I like to call it the subconscious.
Will You Believe Your Thoughts?
So when this is going on, you have the choice, even though it doesn’t seem like it, when a thought comes up, you have the choice to say “yes’, or to say “no’.
And when I say to say “no’, I don’t mean to push it away. Pushing it away is actually saying “yes” to it.
If your mind comes up and says, “How are you going to pay the bills?” And you say, “No! Don’t tell me about that! I don’t want to hear that right now! Go away!” and you push it away, that’s actually saying “yes” to it. It’s going to grow, because you’re focusing on it and trying to push it away. You’re giving it energy.
Saying “no” perhaps is better said is to say nothing at all—just to let it go. But saying “no” to it just means letting it be. Just letting it be.
And you have the option to believe it or not. And when you don’t believe it, it has nothing to go on. When you don’t believe it, it has nothing to feed on.
Because it feeds on focus—it feeds on that energy you give it—that resistance, that belief.
And the reason I say pushing it away gives it more energy is because if you don’t believe in something, you don’t push it away. If someone comes up to you and says, “Hey, the Earth is flat.” You don’t push that away. You might think they’re stupid, but you don’t argue with them, because you really have no vested interest, because you know it’s not true.
Or if someone comes up to you and says, “Your purple hair is so stupid,” when your hair is not purple, it’s black, or brown, or whatever other color, then you’re just going to laugh, because you know it’s not true.
But if someone comes up to you and says this specific thing is stupid that you are actually insecure about, let’s say your job, or your hair color, or anything else. It could be anything. If they criticize that, and there’s a little bit of insecurity, then you explode—then you defend yourself. And you say, “No no no that’s not true. How dare you say that!” So that’s the difference.
So if you didn’t believe in the thought, you wouldn’t push it away. You would just laugh at it basically.
And that’s what we’re getting at. Not necessarily laughing at it, but just saying, “I can let you go. I don’t have to believe in you.” Just because the thought comes up, you still have the choice to let it go, to believe in it or not.
And if you don’t believe in it, once again it has nothing to grow on. It needs your focus to grow.
Starving the Manifestation
And I call this starving the manifestation. Because everything is a manifestation. Your thoughts, your emotions, your actions, and then obviously the physical manifestations in your life, your experiences, the things the people say to you. All of that is a manifestation.
So you can either have positive or negative manifestations in your own judgment. None of them are really positive or negative, but to you, you have judgment of them.
To starve a manifestation—to starve a negative manifestation obviously—is to basically give it no focus.
What happens if you don’t water a plant after a while? It wilts and dies. It’s the same thing.
And by doing that, you’re pulling them up by the roots. It’s like pulling out weeds. You have to pull them out by the roots, and it’s like that.
So when you do that, then the manifestation is starved, and it gets weaker.
And it might take days. It might take weeks. It depends how persistent you are about it. If you ignore it 100% of the time, it would probably take days, maybe one day, maybe two days. If you ignore it 70% of the time, or 60% of the time, it’s still okay, but it might take a little longer.
But the more you ignore it, the more you are just mindful of it, and you say:
That’s just a thought. Right now everything’s okay. I’m alive, I have everything I need, I’m safe. That is just a thought telling me about all the horrible things that are going to happen. That is just a thought, and I don’t have to believe in it. And if I don’t believe in it, it’s going to go away. Not because I need it to go away, because it can be here all it wants to, and I can choose to not believe in it. But just because me not believing in it is naturally going to cause it to go away, because every thought that I have is a manifestation of what I’m focusing on. They’re not random. They can seem random sometimes but they’re not random.
The more you do that—the more you starve that manifestation—the more it goes. The more it disappears.
When you’re driving a car, using the analogy of coasting, and you want to turn that car around, Step 2 is turning it around and going in the opposite direction in the way you want to go. First you need to slow it down. And this is slowing that car down.
Not by hitting the breaks and fishtailing off the road, like you would be if you try to push it away, but just by letting go, and letting it naturally slow down until you can turn that thing around. You’re not pushing it.
Noticing Your Thoughts
So what I want you to do is just to notice your thoughts. And this can be an all day thing. It doesn’t have to be a meditation. It can, but I recommend doing one 15-minute meditation or so a day, if you’re new to this. If you’re not new to it, then you can probably just do it in your regular consciousness.
But just see your thoughts. And when you feel negative, because any thought that you have resistance against is going to feel negative, because you have that emotional guidance system. When you feel negative, check the thought that caused it, and realize that you believed in the thought, and then say, “Okay, I don’t have to believe in that thought anymore,” and just observe it. Just pretend it’s someone else’s thought. Just pretend you’re watching it like an impartial observer, and let it go. And it will go.
So I would do that. It doesn’t require a lot of effort. Like I said, this should not be resistance. It should feel really good to do this, because when you do this, you’re going to get to a point where you feel absolute peace, because that’s what’s left after all this negativity is gone: absolute peace.
And so once you do this, it gets a lot easier, and you don’t have to put in a lot of effort to do it. Just let it be what it is, and that peace within you will start to grow.
Because the Universe is benevolent. You are peace. And so once you ignore that thought, or those thoughts, it will die away, and this great peace will overtake you.
So I would recommend at least one meditation a day if you’re new to this, or just either way, keeping an awareness of your emotions moment-by-moment. If you feel a little bit frustrated, ask yourself why, and realize you believed in a thought that made you frustrated. No one else made you frustrated. You made yourself frustrated with your thoughts.
I hope this is clear. I would love to go into more detail, but I’ve gone long enough, but I will definitely go into more detail in the future.
